VirtualSharp Software Corporation is a company that provides Disaster Recovery automation for virtualized environments and private clouds. VirtualSharp has pioneered the concept of DR Assurance, which consists in setting recovery policies for individual applications in a datacenters, and driving into the infrastructure the responsibility for policy enforcement without human intervention. VirtualSharp ReliableDR is its flagship product. ReliableDR is the industry's first multi-datacenter DR orchestrator and runs as a virtual machine in secondary, or backup datacenter. Its orchestration capabilities include the definition of business rules that govern periodic recovery processes in isolated virtual environments, without impacting working applications and without requiring DR windows. These recovery processes, or simulated failovers, are instrumented so that Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) are measured accurately. This allows datacenters to guarantee the health and time of failover processes in case of major datacenter incidents, such as power loss, flood or fire. VirtualSharp was founded in April 2010 as a result of a spin-off from ErmesTel S.L. It has offices in Tysons Corner Virginia, Maidenhead UK (EMEA HQ), Antwerp Belgium and Madrid Spain.
